Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept HSA and FSA?

- Yes! Many patients choose this option.

Is this office part of a franchise?

- No, this office is fully owned and operated by Dr. Alexis herself.

How long are appointments?

- Regular appointment times range from 15-30 minutes considering what form of treatment a person is receiving.

Do you see children and babies too?

- Yes, of course! Chiropractic care is safe for children and can help with issues such as colic, ear infections, and growing pains. Pediatric chiropractic adjustments are gentle and tailored to the child's needs.

Are there care plans to make care more affordable?

- Yes! The care plans are on a month-to-month basis (no contracts) and include whatever treatment is deemed necessary. This helps to make care even more affordable.

Can I pay per appointment?

- Definitely!

Are you in network with health insurance?

- No, however patients can request superbills to submit to their insurance company to seek reimbursement for out of network benefits!

Why do you not accept health insurance?

- Before opening her own practice, Dr. Alexis worked in a practice that was mainly insurance based. She saw how health insurance often rules patient care in chiropractic leading to unnecessary or inappropriate treatments as well as extremely short and hastened appointment times. Also, doctors who are in network with health insurance companies enter a contract that has a potential to entice the doctor to do treatments that are only covered by insurance. Doctor Alexis prefers not to enter a contract that could potentially make her have a bias in patient care.

Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid patients?

- Those who are enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid cannot be accepted in the office even if they request to pay cash for services. This is due to an unfortunate U.S. law that forbids chiropractors to see Medicare patients when the chiropractor chooses not to participate with Medicare insurance.

How often should I come in?

- To work on an active problem anywhere between 6 to 24 visits may be recommended. For wellness, Dr. Alexis tends to recommend a spinal check once a month or once a quarter.

Do you accept personal injury patients?

- Yes, please call the office to make an appointment.

Can I use my medpay here to cover medical expenses after a car accident?

- Yes! Doctor Alexis can even submit the bill to the auto insurance so that you do not have to pay upfront costs.
